Family Ministries Volunteer Driver

FAMILY MINISTRIES VOLUNTEER DRIVER *Direct-Child Resident Contact 

LOCATION: Laura’s Home – 18120 Puritas Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44135 

AVAILABLE TIMES: Typically during programming hours from 9am – 2:15pm, periodically outside of that time for special events 

**A flexible schedule is needed – there is not always a set schedule** 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Follow all protocols and procedures outlined in the TCM Vehicle Policy when operating a TCM vehicle. 
2. Transport residents and staff in TCM mini-van or 15-passenger vans to and from field trips, events, etc.  
3. Serve as an additional chaperone for trip if needed/interested. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Work respectfully under TCM staff 
2. Understanding of the boundaries pertaining to the position  
3. Abides by the TCM’s Statement of Faith at all times 
4. Free of an addictive lifestyle 

ONBOARDING EXPECTATIONS: 

1. Attend Volunteer 101 Session 
2. Complete Online Application 
3. Sign Volunteer Waiver 
4. Acknowledge Statement of Faith (for group leader) 
5. Communication with Family Ministries staff 
6. Complete Background Check and Fingerprinting 
7. Acknowledge Volunteer Handbook & specific volunteer position description  
8. Become an approved driver through The City Mission (read & sign TCM Vehicle Policy, watch training video, complete disclosure and authorization form, and supply copy of valid driver’s license and insurance card).
