Crossroads Resource Center Volunteer

CROSSROADS RESOURCE CENTER VOLUNTEER *Involves Direct Resident Contact

LOCATION: Crossroads- 5310 Carnegie Ave. Building B, Cleveland, OH 44103

AVAILABLE TIMES: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10-11:30am or 2-3:30pm, Fridays 10am-1pm. No weekend availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist residents with basic computer functions (i.e. logging into laptops, logging into online assessment portals, setting up/logging into google meet or zoom meetings, etc.)
  2. Assist residents with resume writing and online job applications
  3. Facilitate mock interviews
  4. Provide extra support and answer general questions for residents while they’re working in the resource center

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be passionate about ministering to men in crisis
  2. Must have basic computer skills (logging in, MS Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
  3. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  4. Must be a self-starter and able to motivate people to work, learn and grow
  5. Ability and willingness to serve and communicate effectively with a diverse population
  6. Patience and the ability to listen intently
  7. Free of an addictive lifestyle
  8. Understanding of the boundaries pertaining to the position
  9. Abides by the TCM’s Statement of Faith at all times
  10. Have the skills necessary to complete the tasks pertaining to the position

  2. Complete Online Application
  3. Sign Volunteer Waiver
  4. Acknowledge Statement of Faith
  5. Onsite Visit with staff
  6. Background check
